Replacing older equipment with energy-efficient models can reduce energy usage by up to 30 percent, which is cost-effective for families and a wise energy choice for the environment.
The Smarter Greener Better solar water-heating program lets consumers take advantage of Nevada’s abundant sunshine. The program is available to qualifying residential and small business customers, as well as schools and nonprofit organizations. A series of rebates can amount to $30,000, or up to 50 percent of the cost of the system, depending upon the facility where the installation takes place. Weatherization rebates are also available to homeowners and renters.
